Experience S.V. Sisu: Living on Board

Interior of a boat with wooden flooring and cushioned seating.

Welcome aboard Sisu!

Cozy boat interior with wooden table, cushioned seats, and a floral arrangement.

For a 33-footer, Sisu is especially spacious and configurable.

Note the three-way table that opens for dining, folds for comfortable moving around the cabin, or ultimatley folds against the wall for maximum floor space.

Speaking of floor space, look at the well-maintained teak and holly sole.

Cozy sailboat cabin with wood accents and cushioned seating.

Our new upholstry was done for the 2024 sailing season; the indoor / outdoor fabric is easily cleaned and durable.

Notice the closed door giving privacy to the VBerth?  The Starboard settee opens to a double bed (closer to Queen, actually) and the Port side opens up to a single bed.

A workspace on a boat with two screens, navigation device, and coffee mug.

Sisu is a great work-from-home platform.

Whether under way single-handed, rolling anchored off a wilderness Canadian island, or at a marina dock, I can sit here and work (Starlink is built in), while monitoring the boat's Chart Plotter, Navionics and Windy.

Cozy boat cabin interior with wooden paneling and plaid cushions.

Comfortable V-Berth for the end of the day.  Enough room to move around and change clothes.

Dining on Sisu

Sisu's well Laid out galley enables some true gourmet cooking.  Refrigerator, Freezer, pressurized hot and cold water.  And a huge pantry.  You can easily provision for several weeks and have fine meals aboard.  Sisu has a 1,000 Watt inverter; I use it to cook with InstaPot or Toaster oven.

Nice photo of the aftermath of a gourmet meal for four people.  Notice the Instapot on the Nav station.

With Sisu's battery and charging systems you can keep your fridge going, cook, clean and shower at anchorage for three days without need to re-charge.

We comfortably seat four at meals, and adequate space for six at the dinner table.  (Not counting the dining space for four at the folding cockpit table). With Sisu's full enclosure, you actually have two separate dining rooms.

This beautiful cockpit table opens up and seats four adults.  We have squeezed in a lot more for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, at the end of an afternoon sail.

Even if the weather turns nasty, ejnoying the cockpit table and expanding your dinner guest list works just fine with Sisu's full enclosure.

(Shown here without the side panels attached, but they are available and make the cockpit snug, warm and dry.)

Cruising convenience.

Starlink keeps us connected.  Sisu's creative holder for the antenna keeps things oriented well enough that I've never had anything less than high-quality bandwidth.

Whether you want internet for safety, movies, navigation or work-at-home, this connection works as well at a remote Canadian island as it does in the middle of Lake Michigan, or just right at dockside.

Ok, a picture of a toilet might not seem exciting. But the new OGO composting toilet means a couple important things.  One - no odors (at all!).  And two - on a long cruise, no need to seek a pump out every time you come to port.  On my 2025 trip (a little longer than a month), I never needed to even think about this.

Anchoring can seem intimidating.  Some sailors have trouble sleeping while at anchor.

Our Raymarine anchor alarm, on-board internet, and blue tooth speaker system means you can sleep comfortably knowing Sisu will wake you up if she drifts beyond your pre-set plan.

Why Sisu?

This boat will take you never limit your adventures, and never let you down.

You don't have to have Finnish ancestors to appreciate the audacity, persistence and security of Sisu.
